Nigeria
Nigeria, the most populous country in Africa, has a significant number of children living with hydrocephalus and spina bifida. However, the country has less than 100 neurosurgeons, and far fewer trained pediatric neurosurgeons to help the estimated 10,000 children born with these conditions every year.
Recognizing the need to effectively treat more children with hydrocephalus and spina bifida, NeuroKids now has two skilled partners who are not only performing ETV/CPC surgeries but are also training a new cadre of young neurosurgeons to address the condition in the future.
