Julie Bataringaya, MD, MSC

Born and raised in Uganda, she earned her medical degree from Makerere University, Uganda. She also holds a master’s degree in Health Policy, Planning, and Financing, as well as a master’s in Epidemiology, both from the University of London. Additionally, she completed a program in Improving the Quality of Health Services at the Harvard School of Public Health and obtained a Health Economics and Financing Certificate from the World Bank Institute.

She has experience in the operationality and functioning of health systems in Uganda, Rwanda, Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Eswatini, and Lesotho. Her areas of expertise include health policy and strategic plan development, health systems governance, operational health planning, health workforce development, Primary Health Care and community-based health service delivery approaches.
